Seerat Conference, religious procession mark Eid-Milad-ul-Nabi celebrations

JAMMU, Oct 9: In connection with the celebrations of Eid-Milad-ul-Nabi, Anjuman Islah-ul-Muslimeen Jammu organized a day long Seerat Conference at Macca Masjid Bathindi while an impressive religious procession was also taken out, here today.
Rajya Sabha Member, Er Ghulam Ali Khatana, Maulana Rehmat Ullaha Mir Qasmi Dar Ul Raheemiya Bandipora, former Sr Additional Advocate General Hussain Ahmed Saddiqui were amongst the prominent participants in the conference.
Several prominent Islamic scholars from different parts of the country participated and extensively deliberated on the teachings of Islam and Prophet Muhammad. They speakers highlighted the teachings and message of Prophet Muhammad laying stress on promoting human values and love, mutual brotherhood, tolerance, peace and helping the needy and destitute.
Maulana Rehmat Ullaha Mir, Member All India Muslim Personal Law Board, in his thought-provoking address said that the true Muslim is not the one who offers prayers five times a day, but who practically adopts the real teachings of Prophet Muhammad in his life and educates others for doing so.
Maulana Abdullha Ul Hussain Qasmi, Jamia Mohamadia Seri Khawaja Poonch, Alama Syed Ghulam Hussain Rizvi also threw light on various aspects of Islam and elaborated how Prophet Muhammad had laid stress on kindness towards all the creations of Allah and love for fellow beings.
They extended their greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion and expressed the hope that the Eid-Mild-ul-Nabi would be a harbinger of harmony, peace, progress and prosperity in J&K.
Speakers called for promoting bonds of mutual brotherhood and true values of humanity prophesied by Prophet Mohammad. They further said such occasions provide an opportunity to the people to come closer and work for the development of mankind and eradicating social evils from the society.
“Prophet Muhammad’s each and every word shows us right path and gives the lesson of kindness, love, brotherhood and peace,” they said and urged the gathering to spread the message of Prophet Muhammad to ensure peace and prosperity in the universe.
Besides others, Sadar Islah-ul-Muslimeen Jammu, Abdul Majeed, Ex Director School Education Gulazar Hussain Qureshi, Er Rashid Ahmed Fani, civil society members, Advocate Altaf Hussain Janjua, scholars Doctors, bureaucrats, social, political workers and other prominent personalities were present on the occasion. Programme was conducted by Advocate Hussain Ahmed Saddiqui.
On the day, an impressive religious procession was also taken out on New Plot-Janipur. A large number of Muslims took part in the procession amidst raising of slogans in honour of Prophet Muhammad.
