NEW DELHI, Aug 17: Freight rates for nine tonne load improved by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today on less position of trucks against busy cargo movements.
Transporters said increased movement of cargo against tight position of trucks largely pushed up some centres freight rates.
Delhi to Ahmedabad and Baroda rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 26,000 and Rs 27,000.
Rates to Patana, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune also rose by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 30,000, Rs 31,000, Rs 34,000 and Rs 33,000, respectively.
