JAMMU, Feb 10: A meeting of the Select Committee on Kashmir Shrines and Religious Places (Management and Regulation) Bill, 2009 was held under the chairmanship of the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Mir Saifullah in the main hall of the Legislature Complex today.
Detailed discussion was held on the proposed Bill. The Chairman asked the Members of the Committee to give their views and suggestions about the Bill within a week’s time so that a consensus is made in order to finalize the proposed Bill.
The meeting was attended by the legislators, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Dr. Mustafa Kamaal, Abdul Rehman Veeri, M. Y. Tarigami and Ashwani Kumar Sharma.
Among others, Secretary Assembly M. Ramzan, Deputy Commissioner Relief Harvinder Kour, Additional Commissioner Kashmir Qazi Hafizullah, Additional Secretary Tourism Leena Padha, Additional Secretary, Law Achal Sethi and other officers of Tourism, Revenue, Assembly Secretariat were present in the meeting.
