NEW DELHI, Feb 13: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for Patna, Baroda and Mumbai were up by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following shortage of trucks in the markets amid pick up in cargo movements.
Transporters said less position of trucks against pick up in cargo movements, mainly pushed up freight rates.
Delhi to Patna, Baroda and Mumbai freight rates moved higher by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 25,000, Rs 24,000 and Rs 28,000, respectively.
Elsewhere, freight rates for other centres were unaltered on some support.
