Select gur prices up on paucity of stocks

NEW DELHI, June 16:  Select gur variety prices rose up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today due to increased demand from local parties and stockists against paucity of stocks.
Marketmen said increased demand from local parties and stockists against paucity of stocks mainly led to the rise in select gur prices.
At Delhi gur shakkar rose by Rs 100 to Rs 3,600-3,700 per quintal.
At Muradnagar, gur pedi also traded higher by Rs 50 to Rs 3,050-3,100 per quintal.
Following are today’s rates per quintal:
Gur chakku 3,300-3,400, pedi 3,400-3,500, dhayya 3,500-3,600 and shakkar 3,600-3,700.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,800-2,900, chakku 2,850-3,100, khurpa 2,650-2,750 and Ladoo 2,900-3,000.
Muradnagar: Pedi 3,050-3,100 and dhayya 3,050-3,100. (PTI)
