Selection Committee re-constituted for Social Audit Unit of MGNREGA

JAMMU, Apr 25: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has re-constituted Apex Level Selection Committee for Social Audit Unit under MGNREGA.
Headed by the Chief Secretary J&K, the committee shall recommend the selection of Director, Social Audit and Social Audit Resource Persons/Experts and District Resource Person (DRP). It may also recommend the termination of Director, Social Audit and Social Audit Resource Persons/Experts and District Resource Person (DRP) in case of unsatisfactory performance.
The committee shall be serviced by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
Administrative Secretary, Dept of Rural Development & Panchayti Raj; representative of Ministry of Rural Development, GoI; Director Rural Sanitation J&K; representative of NIRDPR from Centre for Social Audit; representative of Civil Society Organization are members of the committee while Director Social Audit is the Member Convener.
