Self drive car rentals gaining pace in city

HYDERABAD, June 13:
Self drive car rentals is gaining pace in Hyderabad, one of the fastest growing corporate cities in India.
A self-drive car on rent allows the users to drive a car just like their own without having to buy one.
If someone needs to travel from one place to another and then again to some place else, a self-drive car on rent is the perfect option to be explored. What’s more, its pocket friendly as well, the car rental company Revv claimed in a release here today.
Revv,  one such car rental company has received a tremendous response ever since they launched operations in the city (end of Jan, 2016). The growth prompted Revv to increase its fleet to more than a hundred cars in the city.
Citing this growth,  Revv also hired Chetan Jain, ex-Myles as their city Head in Hyderabad.
The Global first and the only self-driven car rental with offers of Doorstep Delivery of Cars along with Unlimited Kms pricing plan, Revv is presently live in Delhi, Hyderabad & Bangalore.
Revv is funded by Ananth Narayanan, the newly hired CEO of Myntra, the CEO of DEN Online, more than 10 Directors and Partners from McKinsey (including the heads of logistics and automotive practices), senior executive from an investment fund, and a German soccer professional.
Bringing together the positives of Dominos and Zipcar, Revv entered the market with a storm with the concept of delivering the car to the user at their homes.
With a vision to take Private car ownership out of the equation, Revv was launched to create a rental product that enables the avoidance/postponement of car ownership,  For this, the founders needed to re-imagine every element of the rental product, and make the users’ experience resemble that of using a private car.
Revv bets on the pure-play “Doorstep delivery of cars” business model and to improve its viability, it uses an innovative foldable electric scooter that fits in the boot of the car, and becomes a cost-efective, quick and environment-friendly way of getting back to the parking hubs, for an at-scale, commercial application.
Revv’s portfolio comprises of cars from SUVs, sedans, hatchbacks to ultra-luxury cars. It aspires to be the largest self-drive car rental company in India, with a presence in 6-8 major cities within 1 year and a fleet of 30,000+ cars in 4-5 years.    Presently Revv owns a fleet of 300 cars in three cities- Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.  (UNI)
