JAMMU, July 8: Former Minister and member AICC Abdul Gani Vakil today said that neither self rule proposal of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) nor autonomy of National Conference (NC) will resolve Kashmir issue.
Vakil said this while addressing public meetings at Dangiwacha, Pazalpora and Doabgah in Rafiabad.
They have to understand that Kashmir issue will only be resolved when all the parties including Hurriyat Conference leaders will sit together, taking into consideration the aspirations of all the three regions, he added.
He appealed people to ensure one party rule in the State as one party rule will speed up the developmental process and do a lot in eliminating and eradicating corruption.
Vakil expressed concern over the non implementation of the Rs 8 crore Tourism Development Project announced last year by the then Tourism Minister for Rafiabad.
He said that Rafiabad area has vast tourism potential, which can be compared to Gulmarg. He said that continued ignoring of the area by the Government for decades has resulted in its under-development and further delay in bringing the area on tourist map.
Among others, who spoke were senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Shah, Haji Mohammad Afzal Khan and Pandit Brij Nath Nehru.
