SRINAGAR, Feb 14: Shiv Sena has demanded restoration of Statehood with special status to J&K. Talking to reporters here today J&K Shiv Sena president, Manish Sahni said that special status ensures reservation in jobs and admission in J&K’s educational institutions to the locals and it protects the cultural identity of J&K people.
He said that promise made to the people of J&K on August 5, 2019 regarding restoration of Statehood has remained unfulfilled till date while the claim of development and employment is also proving to be a hoax.
“The abrogation of Article 370 and the havoc of the Corona pandemic have made the economic condition of J&K people worst in last three years,” he maintained.
Meanwhile, Sahni appealed to PM and LG to rename Srinagar Airport after Prof. Balraj Madhok, son of the soil, who protected Srinagar airport.
Women Wing president of Shiv Sena, Meenakshi Chibber; general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; president Kamghar Wing, Raj Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
