JAMMU, July19: Shiv Sena (Bal Thackray) has condemned Swami Agnivesh and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for their alleged irresponsible statements hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.
In a news conference here today State Shiv Sena President, Dimpy Kohli along with Rakesh Kak, General Secretary and Ashwani Gupta, Working President said some so-called saints are working against the Hindus religion.
Kak said it was very pathetic that Agnivesh has said that performing Amarnath Yatra is of no value while Sri Ravi Shankar is saying that the Amarnath Yatra should be suspended this year due to weather.
He said, no surprise if one day Ravi Shankar says that Government should stop recruiting Jawans in armed forces as many of them are getting martyred at the border and in Kashmir.
Kak asked Agnivesh that who has given him the power to issue such statements against the pious Yatra.
He further informed that Agnivesh often visits Kashmir to meet separatist leaders and after return gives statements suiting them.
The Shiv Sena has requested to the administration to ban the entry of Agnivesh in J&K State.
