JAMMU, July 18: Shiv Sena MP from Nagpur and Member Parliamentary Standing Committee, Krupal Balaji Tumane has strongly advocated for grant of ST status to people living in Paddar area of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir UT.
The MP in a letter to Lt Governor J&K, Manoj Sinha has demanded that the process in this regard be expedited and the concerned department be issued directives to submit the Action Taken Report (ATR).
The MP has also quoted the letter written by Tilak Raj Shan, president Shiv Sena Chenab Valley in this regard who has taken up the issue with the Government and also written a letter to Lt Governor in this regard.
Justifying the demand the MP said that the Action Taken Report in the matter is still awaited from the Department for the further course of action. The MP has sought the personnel intervention of the LG in the matter.
