Senior citizens have important role in educating society: JD Singh

JAMMU, Apr 7: Jammu and Kashmir BJP Senior Citizens Cell convener, J.D.Singh, during his visit to Ward Number 26 of Subhash Nagar, here, held a meeting with the elder citizens of the Ward. Office bearers of the Cell were also present in the meeting.
J.D.Singh, on the occasion, also distributed the calendars containing the details related to various development projects and welfare schemes launched by Narendra Modi Government during the last ten years.
While speaking in the meeting, Singh said that BJP led NDA Government was formed in 2014, it did splendid work and received widespread appreciation for its good works and as a result of which the people of the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, once again voted this alliance to power in 2019 and Narendra Modi assumed chair of PM for second term. He said that during these ten years of the Government, many bold and historic decisions have been taken with regard to Jammu and Kashmir as well.
Singh said that for the first time, India witnessed all round development, due share was given for the social-economic upliftment of the poor, needy and discriminated sections through numerous schemes initiated by the Modi Government.
“Whatever has been done for the nation and its people by Modi can be termed as unparallel”, said Singh, and added that the senior citizens have very important role in educating the society, their own families, friends and dear ones, about the good governance of PM Narendra Modi.
Singh stressed upon the senior citizens to reach people and garner their support for the BJP candidate so that more and more new projects are brought and ‘Naya Jammu and Kashmir’ is developed, where people progress and lead dignified lives.
Senior Citizens Cell co-covernor Subhash Gupta, Executive member Ashok Dogra, C.S. Manhas, Kuldeep Kumar, Jugal Kishore, Ravinder Kumar, Rajni Gupta were prominent who attended the meeting.
