Senior Citizens Support Services Club holds GB meet

JAMMU, Sept 24: The General Body (GB) meeting of the Senior Citizens Support Services Club, Chowadhi, was held today at the club’s premises under the chairmanship of Dr Kasturi Lal.
The meeting focused on the upcoming activities planned for the next few months, with a strong emphasis on promoting the Dogri language in the region.
The club has already organized several Dogri events, including a Dogri Kavi Ghoshthi, a Dogri play, and an interactive session with prominent Dogri literary figures.
Ashok Gupta, president of the club, conducted the proceedings and discussed the club’s future plans.
He reiterated the club’s commitment to promoting Dogri by collaborating with various organizations, schools, colleges, and universities.
A plan for the next set of activities was charted out during the meeting. The event concluded with performances by senior citizens, who presented songs and ghazals, adding a vibrant touch to the gathering.
Yoga expert SK Jain also shared tips on maintaining a healthy lifestyle in stressful times. Several dignitaries attended the event, including HC Vaid, Finance Secretary, Dr Neelam, Vandna Mani, Dr Shifika Bano, and others.
