SRINAGAR, Oct 26:

The J&K Government has suspended a senior officer from the Horticulture, Planning and Marketing Department and ordered an inquiry into alleged issues regarding her eligibility as Assistant Grading and Marketing Officer (AGMO).
“Pending inquiry in the matter, Naheed Jabeen, I/c Deputy Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing, Srinagar is placed under suspension with immediate effect in terms of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956,” read an order issued by Principal Secretary to the Government Agriculture Production Department last week.
“During the period of her suspension, she shall remain attached in the Administrative Department (APD) Civil Secretariat,” the order read.
The order said that Director Horticulture (P&M) Vikas Sharma, was appointed as the Inquiry Officer to conduct the inquiry into the matter of her disputed eligibility as AGMO.
“Further Vikas Sharma, Director Horticulture (P&M) is hereby appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct the inquiry/RDA into the matter of her disputed eligibility as AGMO and shall submit a report along with specific recommendations within one month. Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, Under Secretary to the Government shall be the presenting officer,” the Government, order read. (UNI)
