VIJAYPUR, Oct 24: Police in Vijaypur area of Samba district claimed they have worked out a sensational murder case by arresting four people besides seizing from their possession weapon of offence and two vehicles used in the commission of crime.
A police official said on September 28, 2024, a written complaint was received at Police Station Vijaypur from the Company BD Security Limited regarding murder of its security guard Jasbir Pal by some unknown person while he was performing his duties at Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 128/2024 under sections 103/140(2)/127(2) BNS was registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team of Police Station Vijaypur led by SHO concerned, under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, using human and technical intelligence arrested main accused identified as Sushil Kumar Hooda of Khidwly Tehsil Rohtak, Haryana, Security Officer of Shivalaya Construction Company Private Limited at Raya Samba, he said.
During sustained questioning, the police official added that the accused revealed the involvement of some other persons in the offence and accordingly one of his co-accused Gagan Sharma of Shivali, Tehsil and District Bulandshahr, UP, was arrested.
He said that on the disclosure of the accused persons, the weapon of the offence and vehicles used in the commission of offence were seized.
Followed by this, he said, two more accused persons identified as Ravinder Kumar of Chacka Kundi Guhari, Tehsil & District Ramban, and Mohammad Iqbal of Chamber Kanari, tehsil Mandi, district Poonch were arrested in the instant case.
Further investigation into the case is underway, he added.
