MUMBAI, Jan 8: The 30 scrip index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) bounced back today by 74 points to 20,767.82 following gains in Bankex, Capital Goods, Realty, Power and FMCG stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE), rose by 22.45 points to 6,184.30.
The sectoral indices like Bankex, Realty, Power, Technology Metal and Auto stocks edged up in the morning trade.
The gainers were Sun Pharma by 2.43 pc to Rs 608, Cipla by 2.31 pc to Rs 399.50, Tata Power by 1.70 pc to Rs 81, Gail India by 1.61 pc to Rs 344 and Hindalco Industries by 1.42 pc to Rs 117.60.
The losers were Axix Bank by 1.24 pc to Rs 1219, BHEL by 0.91 pc to Rs 163.75, Wipro by 0.88 pc to Rs 545.15 and SSLT by 0.69 pc to Rs 193.50. (AGENCIES)
