SAMBA, Nov 9: Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit today demanded separate Statehood to Jammu to save its cultural identity besides placing it on the road of progress to ensure peace and prosperity of the region.
The demand for separate Statehood was raised vociferously by Manish Sahni its president while addressing a protest demonstration of Shiv Sainiks at Bari Brahmana, today.
While reiterating the demand for separate statehood for Jammu, Sahni said that efforts are being made to mislead the people of Jammu by creating a ”Jammu -Jammu” propaganda and hysteria.
Sahni said there is a competition among almost all the leaders of Jammu to label themselves as the real well wishers and benefactors of Jammu. Without the rights of Jammu, restoration of statehood and democracy has no meaning. For all the issues including Jammu’s identity, development, economic progress and employment, rhetoric in the seminar is not going to work, for this people have to be united and come out to the streets, he added.
