SRINAGAR, July 12: Ahead of proposed joint rally by separatist leaders to commemorate July 13, authorities today placed most of them under house arrest to prevent them from reaching Jamia Masjid.
Hurriyat (G) chairman Syeed Ali Shah Geelani, Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, JKLF chairman Mohamamd Yasin Mailk along with other separatist leaders have called for a joint march from Jamia Masjid to martyrs grave yard on the occasion of 13th July.
Police put Geelani, Mirwaiz and Malik and several other leaders including Shabir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan under house arrest to foil the rally.
