Separatists and Art 35 A

Sir,
The raids and arrests of NIA, the debate on Article 370 and Art 35A and the mounting pressure of the security forces on the militants have created altogether a different situation in Kashmir.  Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement that the stone pelting incidents have shown decline gives a good feel. Similarly, the report of killing 130 militants, as against this year’s intrusion of 80 militants, is also a healthy sign. But the question is about the sowing, manuring and nourishing the seeds of Indian-ism in Kashmir as Indian-ism was always given no importance by the politicians of Kashmir whether they were in power or were out of power. But the latest situation exposes the real faces of all the politicians as well as the separatist leaders of Kashmir.
National Conference and People’s Democratic Party have always exploited the emotions of the Kashmiri Muslims sometimes in the name of Autonomy and sometimes in the name of Self-Rule. On the other hand, separatist have also exploited the common masses in the name of self determination, independence or merger with Pakistan.
Now, the height of the things is that separatist leaders like Omar Farooq cautions against the abrogation of Article 370 or Art 35 A. It is a humorous situation. If separatists are pleading for the complete secessionism from India according to their different and vacillating ideologies what they have to do with Art 35 or Article 370. Article 370 and Art 35 A abrogated or not, separatists are for freedom.
Yours etc…
