SRINAGAR: Separatists organisations have extended strike for four more days till July 22 in Kashmir valley, where normal life continued to remain paralyzed for the tenth straight days today following curfew and strike in view of violence that left 42 dead and 3500 were injured since July 9.
However, there will be relaxation in strike from July 21 afternoon till late in the evening. A joint statement issued by chairmen of both the factions of Hurriyat Conference (HC) Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Mohammad Yaseen Malik extended the strike till July 22
“Kashmir has been turned into a security force camp and innocent civilians were killed and injured while separatists were put under house arrest or detained in jails,” it said. Therefore, the separatist leaders said there was no option but to extend the strike for four more days. (AGENCIES)
