MOGA (PB): The mortal remains of Sepoy Jaspreet Singh, who was killed in Pakistani firing in the Naushera sector of Jammu and Kashmir, were consigned to flames with full State honours at his native village here today.
Jaspreet (24) was killed during a ceasefire violation by Pakistan Army in Rajouri district last night. He belonged to the 8 Sikh Light Infantry regiment and was attached with the Rashtriya Rifles at the time of his death.
Senior officers from the Army and the Moga district administration, local MLAs and a large number of people, including from neighbouring areas, were present when the martyr’s last rites were performed this evening.
