KATRA, Jan 2: A septuagenarian woman died after being hit by a vehicle in Lakhdi area of Tehsil Billawar.
As per police sources, a woman identified as Shankri Devi (75), wife of Mani Ram, a resident of Lakhdi was crossing the road, when a Mahindra vehicle hit her.
The profusely bleeding woman was rushed to SDH Billawar, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
After completing legal formalities, the body has been handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Billawar Police Station and investigation started.
