JAMMU, Nov 23: The Sericulture Development Department J&K, Jammu has won 3rd prize in being best Government stall in National Agriculture Summit 2024, which was held for four days at SKUAST Chatha with the theme “Harnessing Innovations in Agriculture and Allied Sciences”.
More than 250 stalls of Agriculture and various allied departments including entrepreneurs were show cased in the said Summit. The stall of the department depicted various schemes, achievements of the department and it also show cased the exhibits made after value addition to Sericulture products like cocoons, Mulberry fruit, Art and craft etc.
More than 400 Sericulture farmers from various districts of Jammu division came in the summit and also visited the stall. The departmental committee who executed the preparation of Sericulture stall and supervised the same in Summit, included – Kavita Sharma DSO Jammu, Sanjay Rohmetra Farm Manager, Riaz Ahmed and Monica Salathia, both Sericulture Assistants and Rajinder Khajuria Inspector.
