JAMMU, June 20: Principal District and Session Courts, Leh and Kargil will act as Special Courts to try the offences under Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 within their respective jurisdiction.
A notification in this regard read: “In exercise of powers conferred by Section 84 of the Rights of Persons With Disabilities Act, 2016, the Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Ladakh, in consultation with the Chief Justice of J&K and Ladakh High Court, notifies both the Principal District and Session Courts, Leh and Kargil as Special Courts to try the offences under the Act”.
