JAMMU, July 18: Jammu Tourist Trade People’s Federation (JTTPF) today urged the Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for setting up of a mini base camp for Amarnath yatries at Mansar.
Addressing a press conference, Shiv Gupta, vice president of the federation and incharge of Samba and Udhampur districts, alleged that during Amarnath Yatra, Samba and Udhampur districts were always ignored.
By setting up a mini base camp at Mansar for Amarnath yatries, the people get exposure of the tourist industry.
During the Amarnath Yatra, the youth and the trade holders are not getting benefited and the Government is not paying any attention to this, he added.
Gupta asked the security forces deployed on Samba-Mansar road not to stop the tourist vehicles during Amarnath Yatra.
He asked the Mansar-Surinsar Development Authority to pay attention to their work as some of the projects are not implemented properly.
He demanded sanction of Rs 500 crore for the development of Mansar and Surinsar lakes.
