Set up primary effluent treatment plants: SC

NEW DELHI : SC asks state pollution control boards to issue common notice to all industrial units to verify whether they have set up primary effluent treatment plants. On expiry of 3-month notice period, state pollution
control boards shall inspect industrial units to ascertain status of primary effluent treatment plants.
State pollution control boards will ask discoms or
electricity supply boards concerned to disconnect power supply of defaulting industrial units, says SC. (agencies)
