JAMMU, Dec 16: BJP candidate from Jammu East conducted door to door campaign in various areas of the constituency today. Large number of party activists and general public participated in the campaign held in Mohalla Dalpatian and tehsil road area. In Lajpat Nagar and Rajinder Nagar area, a meeting was organized by the local residents.
The activists in large numbers participated in a procession which started from Panjtirthi Chowk and culminated at Jewel Chowk. Yudhvir Sethi, State secretary BJP, and Priya Sethi president Mahila Morcha along with Rajesh Gupta led the procession. Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, Panun Kashmir also joined the procession.
The burning issues of traffic congestion and insanitation in the area were taken up with Rajesh Gupta by the people. Shiv Kumar Gupta, Election Incharge, Jammu East in his address said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inspired a new awakening in the people of the country and a large number of young men have decided to devote themselves in the service of the nation. He exhorted the gathering to vote and support Rajesh Gupta in the coming elections.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking on the occasion said the mandate given to him represents the combined aspirations of all the grass root workers of BJP. “I have in mind a multi-tier modern parking system to remove the traffic congestion in the city. I am conscious of the responsibility to represent such a prestigious Constituency and I will live up to the expectations of the people”, he added.
Virender Raina, National spokesperson, Panun Kashmir while addressing the gatherings said that the time has come for a radical change in the political scenario of the State and the nationalist people owe an added responsibility in this regard.
