NEW DELHI, Aug 7: Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Tarun Vijay today said that terrorism will be under control if soldiers are encouraged to settle in Jammu and Kashmir.
Commenting on the recent incidents of terror attacks in the State , the Member Parliament said, “Village Defence Committees and local security environment will be hundred times more powerful if soldiers are given lands in these areas and encouraged to settle”.
Stating that he has received wide support from the jawans, who are willing to settle down in Jammu and Kashmir for the sake of their motherland and provide safety as well as opportunity to the local youth to get better employment, he said, “Kashmir needs healing touch and economic development that has been denied to them by the politicians who have become irrelevant in the broad Indian context”.
“My mission will continue till we see the Valley again blossoming with patriotic happy, wealthy and healthy people”, Tarun Vijay said, adding he has been receiving hundreds of phone calls from patriotic people in Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh appreciating the proposal to have the soldiers settled in J&K under special scheme.
