Seven injured in separate road accidents

JAMMU, May 2: Seven persons were injured today in separate road accidents in this winter capital of the State and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, four persons were injured tonight in Naiwala area of Akhnoor when two speeding bikes collided with each other. He said the injured identified as Sant Kumar son of Subhash Chander, a resident of Devipur, Raman Singh son of late Pawan Singh of Maanchak, Sahil Singh son of Surinder of Devipur and Balwan Dass son of Puran Chand of Chak Morh, were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor, for treatment.
In Lower Gadigarh area of city outskirts, a car hit a bike injured its pillion rider, Neelam Sharma (65) wife of Brij Nath Sharma of Lower Gadigarh. She was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
A pedestrian identified as Kuldeep Singh (23) son of Puran Chand of Majalta, was hit and left injured by a rashly driven car at Batra. The injured was rushed to nearby private hospital from where he was later referred to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
Meanwhile, a bike-borne youth identified as Sandeep Kumar son of Vishwa Nath of Shanti Nagar, Janipur, was seriously injured when his bike bearing registration number JK02BK-1897 hit with a divider. The injured youth was shifted to hospital for treatment.
In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
