JAMMU, July 13: At least seven vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District today, police said.
They said one dumper was seized by a team of Police Station Gharota led by Inspector Joginder Singh Chib, SHO Gharota, four vehicles by a team of Police Post Phallain Mandal led by PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, incharge Police Post Phallain Mandal, and two vehicles by a team of Police Post Pouni Chak led by PSI Nitish Khajuria, incharge Police Post Pouni Chak.
“The DMO Jammu has been intimated about the recoveries made,” police said, adding that the seized vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order.
