Several animals charred to death in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Feb 4: Over four dozens animals were charred to death after an accidental fire broke out in a cattle shed in Kella area of Ramnagar here, police said.
The fire broke out in the cattle shed of one Gori son of Amarnath of Village Kella in Tehsil Ramnagar on the intervening nights of Saturday and Sunday, they said.
“50 sheep, one cow, and several chickens were charred to death in the devastating fire,” a police spokesperson said.
He said a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Ramnagar Police Station and further investigation taken up.
