JAMMU, Mar 3: A number of deputations and individuals from different areas of the Union Territory today called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan at Civil Secretariat and projected their demands and grievances.
Among others, a deputation of recently appointed Accounts Assistant (Panchayat) met the Advisor and put forth the demand of the release of their salaries pending from last five months.
Another deputation of Auqaf Gohan Vailoo from Kokernag area of Anantnag demanded a trauma hospital as the area is facing difficulties during emergencies. The deputations also demanded supply of potable water and installation of transformer for better power supply in their area.
Similarly, a deputation from Warwan area of Kishtwar put forth the demand of the establishment of cutting and tailoring center at village Brayan of block Warwan of Kishtwar district.
District Development Council Member of Seri, Rajouri, Sangita Sharma called for the inclusion of left-out population in the survey of PMAY in Block Seri.
She also raised the demand of opening up of J&K Bank branch at Kheri Dharat Market of Rajouri.
Earlier, a deputation led by the former minister and Sunil Sharma also called on the Advisor and apprised him of several public interest issues besides other civic issues.
Several other deputations and individuals hailing from different areas of the UT including Jammu, Rajouri, Reasi, Poonch, Srinagar, Kulgam, Budgam, Kishtwar, Baramulla, Kupwara, Anantnag and other areas met the Advisor and apprised him of their issues.
On the occasion, Advisor Khan held a patient hearing and assured all the visiting individuals and deputations that all their genuine issues and grievances would be taken up with the concerned quarters for early redressal.
