JAMMU, July 19: Several issues and demands were discussed by various delegations with Government of India’s special representative, Dineshwar Sharma who today visited Samba.
In Samba town, a total of 24 deputations met Sharma, including Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress, National Conference, PDP, JKNPP, BBIA, Gujjar community members, People Forum for Human Values and deputations drawn from other sections of society.
BJP deputation lead by former minister Chander Parkash Ganga, raised demands of border firing victims, including construction of bunkers, reservation on the pattern of ALC for border residents along IB, special recruitment in border areas, start immediately work for construction of AIIMS and completion of ongoing works.

Congress deputation led by former minister Manjeet Singh also raised the issue of problems faced by border people and also demanded that local educated youth be given job opportunities in the industrial sector.
NPP deputation led by District president Rajeshwar Singh raised issue of Article 370, allotment of five marlas plot to border people and delimitation of State Assemblies.
PDP deputation led by District president Harmesh Singh Slathia raised issues of the welfare of general public.
BSP delegation led by Somnath Manyal, demanded restoration of reservation in promotion and benefit of central sponsored schemes to SC population.
People Forum for Human Values deputation led by S S Sambyal raised issue of pollution and drug menace.
Deputation of Gujjar community led by Saleem Alam raised issue of Gujjar community and demanded for rehabilitation policy for tribal, inclusion of Gojri in Eighth Schedule and a Gojri Regiment on the pattern of Dogra Regiment.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association under the chairmanship of Lalit Mahajan, president, BBIA met Dineshwar Sharma, interlocutor for Jammu and Kashmir in presence of members Suresh Mahajan, Ajay Langer , Vivek Singhal and Viraaj Malhotra here today.
During discussion, Mahajan, raised serious concern in respect of negative Industrial growth in the State as the Central Govt has failed to extend the fiscal incentives to the Industrial sector of J&K at par with North Eastern states which includes extension of Income Tax reimbursement, Central Govt GST and freight subsidy incentives etc.
The Issues regarding the non-issuance of Notifications for the grant of budgetary support of 2% in lieu of CST and freight subsidy as approved in the State Budget for the year 2018-19 for Industrial Sector of J&K were also brought into the notice of the interlocutor.
