Several donates to support admn in combating COVID-19

JAMMU, April 17: To show solidarity with all the frontline workers, support the efforts of Administration for combating the novel coronavirus crisis and to provide relief to the affected, many individuals and organisations are coming forward to contribute in their own generous ways.
Nissar Husain Shah, BJP leader from Mendhar (Poonch) donated Rs 5 lakh in PM CARES Fund and handed over the Bank Cheque for the same to Ravinder Raina, president, Bharatiya Janata Party, J&K Union Territory, at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar in Jammu.
Civil Secretariat Hindu Devotees Sanastha (Shri Shri Mata Maha Ragina, Khir Bhawani, Tullamulla, Kashmir) has donated Rs 1.51 lakh towards PM CARES Fund and a cheque for the same was handed over to the Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo.
People of Block Chowki Choura collectively contributed a sum of Rs 1,21,970 to PM CARES Fund. The cheque of the amount was presented to BJP State vice-president and former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma, by Rahul Dev Sharma, Chairman, Block Development Committee, Chowki Choura.
Kouser Natnoo son of late AB Quddous Natnoo, owner of Hotel Doda Darbar, Doda contributed Rs 1 lakh towards PM CARES Fund by handing over a bank cheque to Suresh Kumar BJP’s Mandal Pradhan Ghat of Doda Constituency.
Mukand Lal Sharma, a resident of house number 36, Sector-A, Sainik Colony, Jammu donated Rs one lakh towards J&K Relief Fund.
Mata Bhaderkali Asthapan Trust donated a sum of Rs 51,000 towards PM CARES Fund.
Kyna Mahajan, a class 3rd student of Jodhamal Public School and resident of Trikuta Nagar, has donated her personal savings of last five years amounting to Rs 30,100 to Swayam Sewaks of Rashtriya Sevak Sangh (RSS) through an NGO ‘Seva Bharti’ for distribution of ration among needy people.
Coming forward to help the Government in its fight against Coronavirus, Gujjar community of Marh Block presented a cheque of Rs 21,500 towards PM CARES Fund, to Choudhury Sukhnandan (ex-MLA Marh).
17th Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje, SABA Ladakh Shey Kogma Phodang Parma Monastery contributed Rs 5 lakh through cheque towards LG Relief Fund, UT of Ladakh.
Rezong Monastery Ladakh handed over a cheque of Rs 1.5 lakh to Commissioner/Secretary Health, UT Ladakh, Rigzin Samphel for donation towards LG Relief Fund.
Employees of Mechanical Engineering Department Kargil voluntarily contributed Rs 1,26,399 in the form of cheque towards the District Red Cross Fund Kargil, which is in addition to the one-day salary of these employees towards the PM CARES Fund.
The Cultural Welfare Society, Samstanling Gompa Sumoor also handed over a cheque of Rs 1.10 lakhs in favour of LG Relief Fund, to Rigzin Samphel.
Likewise, the Tibetan SOS Children’s Village (TCV) Ladakh handed over a cheque of Rs 1,80,857 (a contribution from staff’s salary) to Rigzin Samphel towards LG Relief Fund.
Similarly, Assistant Sub-Inspector Traffic, Stanzin Namgail Yondak Shargol, on behalf of his 1½ years old grandson Jigmet Urgyan Stokphel, donated a cheque of Rs 20,000 towards LG Relief Fund.
