Several initiatives taken on Bar representation

SRINAGAR, July 7:  Acting on the representation, submitted by J&K High court Bar Association Srinagar, the office of Registrar General at Srinagar has ordered release of Rs 5 lakh from grant-in-aid for distribution of the same among Bar Association for purchase of books for HC Bar Library.
In response to another request for enhancing Bar Fund from Rs 50 to Rs 100, all the Sub Registrars have been directed to collect Rs 100, instead of Rs 50 on every sale deed, presented for registration before them and the amount so collected shall be credited into the Advocates’ Welfare Fund.
Further, an amount of Rs 75000 in favour of dependent family members of deceased Advocate Siraj -ud-Din Shah and an amount of Rs 25000 in favour of Advocate Ghulam Nabi Bagow, have been released from Advocates Welfare Fund.
To arrange temporary roofing of canvas type of the compound so as to avoid inconvenience  to the lawyers and for making  the lifts functional at court complexes, matter has also been taken up with the concerned agency.
