MENDHAR, Apr 28: A few cops among several persons sustained minor injuries in a clash between Policemen and a marriage party at Bhimber Gali, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Gursai, here last night.
A Police gypsy and some private vehicles were also damaged in the clash that broke our late last night when a Police team sought to pacify the agitating members of a marriage party, who had blocked the National Highway in protest against alleged misbehavior with them by some dhabha owners at BG.
When SHO Gursai Sanjay Gupta was trying to explain the protesters that the area of incident with dhabha owners did not come under his jurisdiction, someone started pelting stones on the Police party thus forcing the later to resort to lathi charge.
It ensued a clash like situation in which some vehicles were damaged and a few persons sustained injuries.
Police has arrested three persons in this connection and registered a case FIR Number 30, under Section 341, 336, 147, 148, 353, 332 and 427 of RPC against ten identified and 20 unidentified persons.
The marriage party was on way from, Mendhar to Rajouri and earlier they had some tiff with a few dhabha owners at BG.
