Several JKAS officers promoted

JAMMU, Sept 8: Government today ordered the promotion of several Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) officers to different time scales of the JKAS.
As per one of the orders, super time scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) in the pay level (Rs 144200-218200) has been accorded to JKAS officer Mehmood Ahmad Shah with effect from July 18, 2023.
Another order has accorded sanction to the promotion of 12 time scale officers to the Selection Grade of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service in pay level 12.
The officers who have been promoted are Naresh Kumar, Fareed Ahmad Kohli, Suhail Ahmad, Mita Kumari, Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhary, Rigzin Spalgon, Gulzar Ahmad, Jasmeet Singh, Shahena Khan, Saleem Beigh, Babu Ram Tandon and Kulraj Singh.
Further, the order said that officers Mushtaq Ahmed Chowhdary and Saleem Beigh have been designated as the Additional Secretaries in the respective departments. It has been further ordered that the promoted officers shall continue at their present places of posting(s), till further orders.
As per another order issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, GAD, Sanjeev Verma, 7 junior scale JKAS officers have been promoted to the time scale of the JKAS in the pay level 11 with effect from January 1, 2023 on notional basis and on regular basis from July 18, 2023. They are Mushtaq Maqdoomi, Ajay Salaan, Amit Kumar, Kailash Devi, Om Parkash, Chander Kant Bhagat and Manmeet Kumar.
It has been ordered that the promoted officers shall continue to work at their present places of posting(s), till further orders.
Further, 6 selection grade JKAS officers have been promoted to the special scale of the JKAS in the pay level 13 with effect from July 18, 2023. They are Joginder Singh Rai, Ranjeet Singh, Surender Mohan Sharma, Tashi Dolma, Deep Raj and Champa Devi.
Through another order, Government has released special scale (non-functional) and Selection Grade (non-functional) to the two members of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services.
As per order, the special scale (non-functional) of the JKAS has been released in favour of Attam Dev Singh, (retired JKAS) and selection grade (non-functional) has been released in favour of Rajeev Kumar, Revenue Attorney with Divisional Commissioner Jammu with effect from January 1, 2022.
Another order has accorded sanction to the appointment (by promotion) of 12 officers of departmental feeding services to the time scale of the JKAS notionally with effect from January 1, 2023 and on regular basis from July 18, 2023.
They are Naeem-ul-Rehman Mughal, from Excise and Taxation Department, Shahzada Noor-ul-Ain and Abhishek Chandra Vaidya from Industries and Commerce Department, Hamidullah Mir, Srinath Suman from Revenue and Zafar Ahmad Lone from Revenue Department, Jyoti Raina, Mohammad Ayub Dar, Phoola Raina, and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat from Secretariat-I and Harvinder Singh and Yasmeen Jan from Secretariat-II.
The promoted officers shall continue at their present place of posting(s), till further orders while as officers Jyoti Raina, Mohammad Ayub Dar, Phoola Raina and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat have been designated as Deputy Secretaries in the respective departments.
It has been further ordered that 2 time scale officers have been promoted to the Selection Grade of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services in the pay level 12. They are Akhtar Hussain Qazi and Anil Kumar Thakur. The promoted officers have been asked to work at their present places of posting(s), till further orders.
Meanwhile, Government has ordered transfer and posting of two Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) Officers.
As per an order issued in this context, Dr Zakir Hussain, General Manager, DIC, Poonch, has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, against an available vacancy, with immediate effect.
Further, Mohammad Tanwir, Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Poonch, has been asked to hold the charge of the post of General Manager, DIC, Poonch, in addition to his own duties.
