JAMMU, Aug 27: Several prominent persons from Udhampur today joined Lok Janshakti Party ( R ) under the leadership of its J&K President Rafiq Malik.
Welcoming new entrants into the party fold, Malik said that public grievances are mounting every day but the BJP Government has remained unmoved. He said the people from various areas have put their grievances before him particularly hefty power tariff bills after installation of smart meters expressing inability to pay such bills and that too when there is unscheduled power cuts in various areas.
Malik said LJP is fully capable to defeat forces which are hell bent upon to divide the people on religious and regional lines to serve their vested interests. He added that people of JK UT have realized the politics gimmicks of various groups and parties which were trying to make inroads in JK to create confusion among the voters.
While reiterating the demand for immediate stoppage of Toll Plaza at Sarore, Malik said that BJP is totally indifferent to the genuine demand which will affect all section of people from various parts of the country.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Sanju Bhagat (State Secretary), Rajiv Gorka (State President Legal Cell and Chief Advisor), Mahraj Krishan Bhat (State President Migrant Cell), Mulkh Raj (State President SC Cell), Subash Chander (Jammu Province General Secretary_, Satinder Singh (Rural President Jammu), Davinder Pal Singh , Shahbaz Malik, Qadir Malik, Neha Bhagat and Nirmal.
