Union Joint Director praises health workers of UT

JAMMU, Dec 24: Several programmes were organised under the impactful Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) in Jammu and Kashmir today to help the people get benefitted from various Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
As part of the yatra, a significant Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp was organised at Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah in Doda District, where the Chief Guest, Dr Simmi Tiwari, Joint Director in the Ministry of Health, Government of India emphasized the importance of coordination and teamwork in delivering health benefits to the local area.
She urged the health department to fully utilize its facilities and infrastructure for the betterment of society. Highlighting the Pradhan Mantri Infrastructure Scheme, she mentioned its vast potential in strengthening the health sector’s infrastructure and functioning.
Dr Tiwari also took the opportunity to commend the frontline health workers for their dedicated service to the community. A key highlight of the event was the distribution of golden health cards to attendees under the PM JAY-SEHAT Scheme, a gesture symbolizing the commitment to public health and welfare.
In Pulwama District, a pivotal moment unfolded as the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) reached Municipal Committee Khrew.
The community actively participated, turning the event into a joyous celebration. Government departments took the forefront, elucidating their schemes and guiding citizens on how to avail themselves of these opportunities.
Steered by Deputy Commissioner, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is making remarkable strides in Ramban District, where it has successfully covered 136 Panchayats and 3 municipalities to date.
Under the initiative, events at the Panchayat level are strategically designed to enhance awareness and ensure the saturation of Government schemes among the local populace.
The activities orchestrated at these events aim at fostering growth, promoting participation in Government initiatives, and achieving program saturation, with a special focus on flagship schemes of the Union Government.
