Several programs organised under VBSY in J&K

JAMMU, Jan 6: Several programs were organised today under the Union Government’s public outreach campaign, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), across Jammu and Kashmir.
The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) organized the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) at Mujgund in Srinagar, bringing impactful events and essential services to local communities. The event featured various activities, including ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani,’ where beneficiaries of government welfare schemes shared their life-changing experiences. Free health check-ups, Aadhar card registrations, Ayushman card generation, and sign-ups for various Government schemes were made available, ensuring easy access to vital services for those in need.
Expanding its reach to six villages in District Pulwama, the VBSY continued its mission of holistic development. Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans traversed these villages, disseminating the visionary message of the Prime Minister and the purpose behind the VBSY. Residents embraced the Sankalp pledge, resonating with the profound ideals of the Yatra.
The transformative journey of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra unfolded a remarkable chapter in Kathua. In Vandana, a resident of Barwal, Kathua, found her path illuminated by the Umeed scheme of NRLM, turning her dreams of entrepreneurial success into reality. Facing challenges of limited resources and opportunities, Vandhana’s aspirations gained momentum when she discovered the Umeed scheme. Registering with the Umeed scheme opened doors to financial support and training, marking the inception of a journey from threads to entrepreneurial triumph.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra gained momentum in Rajouri, driving the implementation of various Government schemes and bringing about comprehensive development in the district. An Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van has played a crucial role in engaging with local communities and equipping them with the necessary knowledge to benefit from government schemes.
The campaign extended its reach to Panchayat Rari and Smailpur of Bari Brahmana in Samba District, featuring an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van that informed the public about various Government schemes. The Yatra aims to create awareness about the visionary roadmap for Viksit Bharat by 2047, emphasizing inclusive participation from all stakeholders.
In Budgam, Deputy Commissioner Akshay Labroo presided over the VBSY program, appreciating officers for successfully conducting the Yatra across all 296 panchayats and urban areas of the district. The Mega Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was conducted at Sports Stadium Budgam, showcasing tangible progress and surpassing expectations. With the participation of over 2.50 lakh individuals across 335 Gram Panchayats and 138 Urban local bodies, it stands as a testament to unity and collective action, portraying a vivid picture of community-driven development.
