JAMMU, Apr 16: Several vehicles were damaged in a massive blaze that broke out in Yard Number 6 of Transport Nagar here today.
As per police sources, fire broke out in a vehicle dumped by JDA in Yard Number 6 of Transport Nagar, which later spread to the other dumped vehicles.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and informed the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
“Fire fighting operation was launched and police teams have also rushed to the spot,” sources said, adding that although the flames were brought under control but many vehicles parked in the area got damaged, saying that the exact number of vehicles that got damaged has not been ascertained.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Narwal Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
