JAMMU, Dec 25: Sewa Bharti J&K, in collaboration with National Medicos Organization (NMO) J&K Ladakh and with support of Department of Ayush Government of J&K organized a one-day free Medical Health Checkup camp titled ‘Ek Diwasiye Chhota Kashi Swasthya mela’at Purmandal-Utterbehni Tirth Sewa Nayas near here.
The event was patronized by Joydeb Roy Singha (Dada Jee), Akhil Bhartiya Chatravaas Pramukh, Priyadarshani Sharma Sewa Pramukh Prant J&K.
The event was inaugurated and started with lighting of lamp by Dr Kulwant Singh Bhau, head NMO Prant J&K Ladakh and Sanjeev Sharma and coordinated by Ajay Takoo Swasthya Aayam Pramukh Sewa Bharti J&K, Sumit Mahajan, Sampark Pramukh Sewa Bharti J&K.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Kulwant Singh Bhau emphasized the need of more such medical camps in remote parts of the Union Territory so as to attain maximum outreach. The organizations have been conducting similar free medical camps in remote areas of Kashmir Division too on regular basis.
Various specialists from different disciplines provided their services including Dr Sadhna Kotwal, Senior Gynecologist, Dr Vinod Khajuria Orthopedician, Dr Raman Pediatrician, Dr Priyanka, Dr Praval Singh Punia and Dr Diksha Sharma, Medical Officers. Dr Tarun Gupta Intern GMC Jammu supervised students group including Meetika Sharma from GMC Rajouri, Adni Rasool, Anu Parihar and Priyanka from Ayurveda College Akhnoor.
About 150 beneficiaries availed the benefits of the free health checkup and counseling. In addition, free medicine allopathic and Ayurvedic as prescribed by the participating health professionals was also distributed to the beneficiaries.
