NEW DELHI, Oct 3: In a heartwarming display of support, Sewa Bharti International donated an ambulance to Saksham, a national organization dedicated to the welfare of Divyangs (persons with disabilities) in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the two-day National Executive Council meeting of Saksham held in New Delhi, various critical decisions were deliberated upon. These discussions revolved around the inclusion of more women and Divyangs in the organization, strengthening Saksham at the national and State/Union Territory levels, and expanding its presence to the grassroots, including districts and tehsils.
One noteworthy commitment made during this meeting was the establishment of 500 Divyang Sewa Kendras across India by 2025.
Additionally, it was announced that roles and responsibilities within the organization would change at all levels after three years, a move aimed at fostering growth and leadership development.
The concluding session of the National Executive Council featured an address by Bhaiya Ji Joshi, a National Executive Member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
On the final day of the event, Bhaiya Ji Joshi handed over a crucial contribution to Saksham-an ambulance. This donation made by Sewa International, USA, is intended to facilitate free eye check-ups for Divyangs across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The ambulance will be stationed in District Reasi and will be available for service in other districts upon request, ensuring that Divyangs have access to essential eye care services.
