JAMMU, Feb 22: Jammu Kashmir Sewa Bharti today presented Sewa Rattan Awards to various personalities for their unblemished contribution in different fields.
The awards were presented at a simple but impressive function held at Ambphalla this afternoon. Commissioner JMC, Rahul Yadav was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme was organised under the guidance of Jai Dev (Dada) Akhil Bhartiya Chatrawas Pramukh, Sewa Bharti, Jammu Kashmir.
The awards were conferred to outstanding achievers across five distinct categories: Health Sector, Sanitation, NGO, Media, and Inspiration. In the Health Sector category, recognition was bestowed upon exemplary individuals whose tireless efforts have significantly contributed to the well-being of society. Those who were honoured in this sector included Dr. Sanjay Dhar, Dr. Bhavani Raina, Dr. Vinod Khajuria, Dr. Geetu Mahajan, Dr. Sadhna Kotwal, Dr. Sudesh Kumar, Dr. Naresh Sharma, Dr. Monika Rathore, Dr. Sumit, Dr. Praval Singh Punia, Dr. Diksha Sharma, Dr. Shriya Sharma, Dr. Tarun Gupta, Tushita Mohan, Meetika Sharma, Anshul, Vishal, Adni Rasool and Tahir Zamaan.
In the Sanitation Sector, the Sewa Rattan Award was given to Rinkoo, Manga, William Masih, Kulwant Singh, Amar, Yashpal, Bittu, Sukhvinder, Mohit, Chaman Mattoo and Shanker Kumar for their commitment in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
The NGO Sector award was presented to Robin Hood Army and Attam Vallabh Trust, organizations that have demonstrated exemplary service and dedication to various social causes, fostering positive change and empowerment.
In the Media category, recognition was extended to Avtar Bhat, Ravinder Singh and Vikram Shridhar.
A special accolade was bestowed upon Rushmi Sharma for her unwavering support in nurturing her daughter, Hansja Sharma, to become the pilot.
The event was attended by members of Sewa Bharti, including Ajay Takoo, Sumit Mahajan, Trilok Negi, Suraj, Vikaran Mahajan, Arun Ambardar, Upender Parmar, Pradeep Kapoor, Ravi, Dr. Anil Manhas and Dr. Kulwant Singh Bhau, whose dedication and leadership continue to drive the organization’s impactful initiatives forward.
Besides JMC Commissioner, Rahul Yadav was also presented an award on the occasion.
Patriotic songs were soulfully rendered by students of Arya Bhatta Computer Institute and Drishti Chatravas, both institutions run under the aegis of Sewa Bharti.
Speaking at the event, Chief Guest Rahul Yadav expressed his admiration for the relentless efforts of the awardees, highlighting their pivotal role in shaping a more equitable society.
