JAMMU, July 7: Socio-Economic Women Development Society, an NGO organized a five-day awareness generation camp for rural poor women, at Karan Nagar here.
The programme was organized in collaboration with Social Welfare Board. It was inaugurated by Assistant Director Industries Zahir Ahmed Caffee and nearly 45 women and orphan girls from rural background attended the programme held in Jammu city. The speakers educated the women and girls on empowerment, education, rural development, medical education and their rights. Mitu Rajput, secretary of the Society, Pallvi Thakur and Satosh Saraf delivered the lectures. A lecture on spiritual education was also delivered by Ravinder from Brahma Kumaris Ashram, Rehari in Jammu. Mr Caffee lauded the efforts of the NGO.
