JAMMU, Dec 19: The Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Week was observed at Central Jail Kot Bhalwal.
As per a statement, all the ranks and files, including women staff of the Central Jail, participated in the programme.
In his address at the event, the Superintendent of the Jail, stressed on creating and strengthening a safe working environment for the women at the workplaces.
“It is our moral obligation to make the women feel safe at their workplaces,” said the Jail Superintendent.
During the programme, special provisions of the Protection of Women from Sexual Harassment (POWSH) Act 2013 were discussed in detail.
