It is a historic development and will make great impact on women working in offices, factories or in houses as domestic helps. Titled as ‘The sexual harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Bill, it will enable the women fight against sexual harassment at workplace.
As the present day women are no longer confined to four walls of home. She walks shoulder to shoulder with men in almost every walk of life withmen. While serving outside their homes, they often encounter many such situations where they are harassed sexually. Sometimes the employer takes advantage of their poverty or domestic compulsions.
The Bill will how help them work in a fear free atmosphere provided the bill is implemented in letter and spirit.
