SGEJAC demands release of money to Jammu treasuries

JAMMU, June 21: Expressing serious concern over delay in release of salaries and wages due to emptied treasuries, the State Government Employees Joint Action Committee has demanded immediate release of money to Jammu treasuries.
Addressing a press conference after an executive body meeting of the SGEJAC Jammu here today, Sushil Sudan, Subhash Verma and Suresh Sharma highlighted various issues, including the emptied treasuries of Jammu due to which the salaries of employees, GP fund and wages to the daily rated workers could not be disbursed. They urged the Government to immediately release the money to Jammu treasuries so that employees may not suffer further.
The SGEJAC also reiterated the employees’ demands, which include regularization of daily rated workers, removal of pay anomalies in all cadre, budgetary support to PSUs and withdrawal of circular number 9 of GAD dated 26-3-2013.
They flayed the PDD authorities for allegedly victimizing the trade union leader in Kathua and demanded immediate reinstatement of all the six employees who have been suspended. The SGEJAC threatened to take `appropriate’ action if the employees are not reinstated.
Earlier, an executive body meeting of SGEJAC was held for discussing various issues concerning the employees. The meeting was attended by Suman Sharma, Maheshwar Sharma, Vinod Sharma, Rinku Gill, Jarnail Khokhar, Mohd Farooq, Swaran Singh, K C Dubey, C L Koul, Manzoor Ali and others.
