SGEJAC flays Govt for its rigid stance

JAMMU, Sept 22: State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (SGEJAC) has sought the support of employees of various departments and Public Sector Undertakings for its September 24 protest programme in Jammu city.
Senior members of the SGEJAC including Sushil Sudan, Subash Verma, Suresh Sharma, Prem Singh Bawa, K C Dubey and others claimed that the protest demonstration is being held at Exhibition Ground near Press Club of Jammu against the State Government. They said in view of the cosmetic approach adopted by the State Government towards the demands of the employees, it has been resolved to stage strong protest demonstration.
They pointed out that campaign has been started in various offices and PSUs and impressive response has been received from various offices for the support for the proposed protest programme. They further said that at Srinagar protest programme will be held at Partap Park on September 26 under the leadership of Aijaz Khan. They said it is unfortunate that Government instead of inviting all senior trade unionists have chosen to accord invitation on the pick and chose basis.
They demanded removal of pay anomalies, framing policy for regularization, payment of balance arrears, providing budgetary support to all PSUs and increase in Medical Allowance besides releasing DA installment.
