SGEJAC organizes convention, projects employees’ issues

JAMMU, Jan 11:  State Government Employees Joint Action Committee has urged upon the Government to regularize all the pending daily rated workers and release 6 % DA in favour of employees and pensioners.
In one day convention of the SGEJAC held here today under the leadership of Sushil Sudan, Ajaz Ahmad Khan and Subhash Verma, the members started proceedings  by observing two-minute silence  to pay homage to the Late  Mufti Mohd Sayeed, the Chief Minister J&K State.
During the convention, the long pending demands of the State Government and PSU employees and workers were discussed in threadbare. The demands included  regularization of all sorts of daily wagers after  five years,  releasing of  6%  DA due from July 2015,  enhancement of Medical allowance to Rs 2000 lump per month, removal of Pay anomalies of clerical cadre and others, provision of  dislocation allowance, declaration of  5 days week in the State for the all Departments and  introduction of Medical claim policy for all sorts of employees.
Further in the convention, the preset scenario of trade unions in the State was  discussed and it was unanimously decided that the leadership of pro- employees unions will also be approached to bring them on one platform to fight for the common interests of  State Government employees. The SGEJAC further chalked out the strategy to strengthen its rank and file before to jump into any employees struggle in future.
Prominent among others who were present  during  SGEJAC convention included  Yash Magotra, Farooq Ahmad, Maheshwar Sharma, Farooq Ahmad Mir, Kartar Chand Dubey, Ab. Qayoom Baig, Vinod Sharma, Riaz Ahmed Sofi, Suman Sharma, Khalid Mohd. Khan, Mehraz Din Khan, Hamid Ulah Batt, Manzoor Ali and Jarnail Khokar, Anoop Singh.
